Some reviews

There are many superlatives that could describe my experience at this flat. As others have noted, the location in the heart of old town and the view from the apartment are simply spectacular. Words can’t effectively capture the happiness one feels early in the morning as the sun illuminates the Taurus mountains in the distance or the small boats leaving the marina below. Aside from these ascetics, there were important practical considerations. The flat is incredibly well equipped for either a short or long stay. Plenty of bedding options from sheets to comforters, a fully equipped kitchen for any type of meal preparation (including a dishwasher!), generous sized living spaces, strategically located room air conditioners that cool in short order, and a wonderful terrace off the living room. Communication with Sercan and Isil, my hosts, was responsive and friendly, although I really did not need them for much since the flat was so well equipped and all systems ran as they should. They sometimes checked in to make sure that things were going well and even left me a fruit basket, an unexpected but much appreciated gesture. In the interest of full disclosure, the flat is on an upper floor of a six story building with no lift. I enjoyed the mini workout, but those with mobility limitations might be challenged. As noted by others, there is music coming from a nearby performance venue in the evening, although this was limited by mandatory covid closure hours. I did not find that the noise was disruptive to my sleep in the back bedroom. This was one of my top Airbnb experiences and it exceeded my expectations in every respect. If I have the opportunity to return to Antalya I hope to be able to enjoy the benefits of this wonderful flat again.

I have left my heart at the “sea view flat”! How can that divine place be described? What you see at the AirBnB page is entirely real but it lacks the soul, the inner spirit of living there… Anyway, I will try to put our experience in poor words. As you enter, the apartment is shining from cleanliness and light! The living room has three broad windows; one facing the old port, the whole golf of Antalya and the high mountain picks at the background, the other two overlooking the old city; but it’s not a static view, as the port is full of life, with sailboats as well as small fishing boats going to and fro all day; the sea, either as a mirror or angry, climbing on the shore rocks; the sky rich in inspirations for El Greco; the town dressed in colorfull lights in the evening… Two bedrooms had also the same stunning port-sea views, the third one had a city view. The furniture, the carpets, the mattresses and pillows, all in the best condition; the decorative touch can not remain unnoticed, too! The kitchen is fully equipped with electrical devices and also with all those little things that turn a house into “home”, like salt and pepper, coffee and tea, sugar, olive oil, mediterranean aromatic cooking herbs. Plenty of towels of any size and bed linen were available, as well. The building is in the middle of everything; historical sites, restaurants, shops, tram and bus stops in the vicinity (for longer stays, we recommend an Antalya Kart for public transportation, also the homonymous cell phone app! super!). Nearest Tram Station is Ismet Pasha. Tram takes you easily either to Airport or to Otogar, where you find buses for any destination in Turkey, at great prices! Just opposite the building of the flat, there is a live music bar. We enjoyed the guitar with flute ballads a lot! On weekend evenings the music is loud and intense till late at night, so you may need earplugs. Last but not least, the owner!!! Sercan is friendly, warm, accurate and fast in answering. His relatives, Metin and his wife, welcomed us like old friends, with pastries, fruits and Turkish coffee. Thank you all so so much! You really made us feel at home!! çok çok teşekkür ederim!!!
