Are you interested in making the most of your time in Antalya by having us suggest and organize activities / visits for you? We are very happy to share our local knowledge with you, and can arrange individual itineraries. We avoid the typical tourist activities, unless they are ones that absolutely can’t be missed. Here are just some of our favourite things to do in and around Antalya: eating at a range of local restaurants to try meze or locally caught fish; listening to live traditional music; white water rafting; breakfast under ancient olive trees; visiting ancient ruins; enjoying a massage at our favourite, untouristy hamam; scuba diving.
We can design your own schedule to suit your interests, energy levels and knowledge of Antalya and the surrounding areas. We also offer a full-week programme – see below for more details. If it sounds too much, you can also book single days. We can also arrange for you to have a private car and driver for a day – just ask us. More information about prices can also be provided upon request.
A week is definitely not enough, but are you ready to get a taste of life in Antalya from a local perspective?
Our suggested Discover Antalya agenda:
A full-day boat trip along the coast with stops for swimming in beautiful bays. Leave after breakfast and return just before sunset. Lunch included. Snacks and drinks can be bought on the boat.
We start the day with a nice fish and salad lunch surrounded by the forest and tumbling waters of the village of Ulupinar – around half an hour outside of Antalya. Perhaps you might also be tempted to have a cooling glass of raki – Turkey’s national aniseed drink –with your fish. Afterwards we will visit the beautiful Greek and Roman city on the coast of ancient Lycia.
Time to eat, relax and be spoilt. Enjoy a traditional Turkish village breakfast and then head to our favourite hamam for a full-body scrub and massage.
Start the day with a simple and delicious organic breakfast surrounded by ancient olive trees. Afterwards, you can buy the olive oil produced here. We then head to the outskirts of Antalya to get in a cable car for wonderful views of Antalya and the surrounding coast. There will be a chance to jump in the sea at a nearby beach after this trip.
Ready for an adventure? Come and join us for white-water rafting in a gorge near Antalya (around 1.5 hours outside of Antalya), with a lunch between and of course a stop for gözleme on the way back!
An afternoon of shopping at Antalya’s designer market followed by dinner and live traditional music at Turku Bar. A cultural holiday without shopping? No way! Antalya’s designer market is the best place to come for bargains!
In the evening we will head to a very traditional Turkish live music bar which serves delicious meze. Even though the music is mostly very sentimental, you will be surprised how Turkish people cheerfully dance to these sentimental songs.
We head to a diving club in the Lara Beach area of Antalya where you can try scuba diving or SUP.
Dinner afterwards at our favourite and delicious fish restaurant in Antalya – a romantic and classy cliff-top restaurant. Put your nice clothes on, enjoy the view and the taste of our last supper together.
